Upon moving to Miami (for the first time) in 2003, I was bewildered as to how such a large city could have so few parks (and green space in general).  I would complain about this to just about anyone that would listen.  After all, the much smaller city I had come from, Louisville, KY, has a park system designed by the legendary landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted (designer of numerous city parks including, Central Park and Golden Gate Park).   13 years later, Miami's lack of parks is still a pet peeve.So when I started to hear murmurings about a 10 mile linear park proposed to run the length of the shabby M Path, I thought 'Finally!  What a great idea!'  And then, when I got the call from Centre Magazine, to make a portrait of Meg Daly, the woman behind the bright idea, I was even more excited! For the photo shoot, Meg and I met at Building.Co in Brickell, a co-working space where Meg has an office.  We chose to shoot on the rooftop, high above the urban landscape that will be transformed by the Underline.Meg was a great portrait subject-  radiating such enthusiasm and positivity.  She seems like just the person to transform Miami's concrete jungle.
