Essentia Spa Shoot at the Delano Hotel

If I had to name my favorite hotel on South Beach, it would probably be the Delano. I still remember my first trip to the iconic hotel as a spry 22-year-old, straight out of Kentucky.  At that time, the Delano, with its promise of glamour, adventure and an unforeseen trip down the rabbit hole (thanks to Philippe Starck's designs), really embodied for me the larger enigmatic quality of Miami (in general).So when I was approached by Travelzoo to photograph Club Essentia Spa, at the Delano, I was pretty excited.I met up with my lovely model Allison, who also works as a producer for Travelzoo.  We were both immediately in awe of the spa's rooftop terrace overlooking South Beach.  I knew instantly that the terrace would be the star of the show.  Allison threw on a robe and we got to work (if you can really call photographing on a rooftop terrace, overlooking the azure-blue ocean work).Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.
